The gorgeous wrap dress makes an appearance. I love it with the cropped jacket, very cute.

Those pumps are gorgeous. Oh, if only I could wear heels like that in my line of work...

a few questions for ya:

(1) when you plan out your outfits for the week, do you also plan out what hair you will wear with each outfit? makeup? glasses? (i assume you do plan accessories/purses/coats/etc)

(2) any advice on making heels more comfortable? i love the look of heels, but they seriously kill my feet if i have to stand/walk in them for more then short trips to the printer or ladies room...

(3) any advice on hemming things for those of us who dont know how to sew? would you recommend no-sew glue or fusible webbing?

Evandine -

(1) I don't think about make-up or glasses when planning the week's outfits. I do plan to wear any turtlenecks or big collared items on Mon or Wed, when I'm more likely to wear my hair up (because of my hair-washing schedule.) (My goodness, I sound overly regimented.) I know what I'm wearing when I put on my makeup each morning, so I apply accordingly. I plan the other accessories, but maybe not coats as much.

(2) To make heels more comfortable, dance en pointe for a few years and deaden the nerves in your feet. Seriously, I don't know a way to make them more comfy. I think I just have the right foot shape and a high pain tolerance.

(3) I've Hem 'n Trim for no-sew hems on pants. It's easier to use than Stich Witchery. BUT, for an upcoming recession challenge, I'll post a how-to on the blind hem stitch. Even a non-sewer can use it to finish a hem.

I love the brink pink & yellow combination. It's so bright and cheery for spring!

hah, i did pointe briefly, but i have been a dancer since i was 2 1/2 -- i think it was the dancing that made my feet so sensitive, actually!

i eagerly await your blind hem stitch tutorial. :)

Okay, I love that yellow jacket and I am coming right to...Cincinatti and taking it out of your closet. That's not too far from the West coast, is it?

The better the quality of the shoes, the less the heels hurt. It's worth it to buy more expensive shoes.

Such a daring color combination.

Love the dress. I had purchased it myself and took it back because it was too long. I never think about hemming items, I just end up taking them back. I know I am going to stop doing that once I read your post on how to do hem.

+++ for the bright pink and yellow combo! I love the pink necklace. It adds the right amount of *punch*.

I just stumbled across your blog today and I LOVE IT! This will be a new daily read for me! Incidentally, I found it while I was searching the internet for opnions about whether wearing both a bright yellow belt ANS bright yellow shoes would be too matchy-matchy. I'm thinking of wearing both with a navy dress. What do you think?

Jeannie said...

Oops- AND, not ANS. ;-)

Hi Kasmira! I absolutely love you're blog. You've really inspired me to put more effort into dressing "out-of-the-box" and to dress better for work. I tend to just throw clothes on for work since it's just work. I would love to follow your blog but can't find the "follow" button. If you have time could you let me know where I can go to follow your blog? Thanks a bunch in advance!!

Jeannie - I say GO FOR IT! :) I assume you're going to wear your navy dress more than once. Try it with the matchy matchy shoes and belt once. Try it a different way next time.

Bonnie - I don't know....I don't follow any blogs myself. (I read them all in Google Reader.) I found this help page: http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=104226

In the meantime, I'll try to add the follow widget.

Walk around barefoot a lot, it will toughen the nerves in your feet and you won't feel a thing!
